Join a LILA Retreat
Language Immersion for Living Abroad (LILA)
What is a LILA Retreat?
LILA Retreats are facilitated by Black women for Black women.
LILA Retreats immerse you in the Spanish language.
LILA retreats start on Friday evening and continue for a full day on Saturday.
LILA retreats include a range of activities and workshops designed for language immersion.
Come build a language learning community in a LILA Retreat.
Why a LILA Retreat is right for you
All sessions and activities will be in Spanish. You will be immersed!
Don’t worry if you are a beginner, the breakout sessions will be leveled for you.
There are no additional costs for virtual retreats.
To learn the language, you must speak the language. The LILA Retreat will (gently) force you to.speak in conversation!
At the start of the retreat, you will receive a Welcome notification with an agenda and links to all necessary information.

In person LILA Retreats - In person US and abroad
Imagine you and your friends and/or community enjoying an in-person LILA retreat close to your home. We can plan a LILA retreat near the beach, in the city center, in the mountains, or anywhere else you would like to gather. The retreat can be for your invited circle of friends or open to the community. I will plan, host, and facilitate an immersive, language retreat. In person LILA Retreats will require a set minimum number of booked participants. Prices vary. Use the contact form below to reach out!
Private LILA Retreats - Book a special invite for your friends and family.
Are you planning a group trip abroad? A birthday celebration? A formal, themed, or other special event? Do you want to enhance and expand your language skills?
